Frequently Asked Questions

Can I post a game on my site / send a game to a friend / copy a game to other computers?

All visitors to bigbombgames.com may post or redistribute copies of our downloads anywhere they like as long as the game is distributed in its entirety. If you maintain a website or or other publication and would like to include our games, please visit our Webmasters and Media page to download complete media packs. If you would like to link to our games or post them on your site, but don't have the bandwidth or server space needed, please contact us to obtain the information you'll need.

Do I have to register to play games on this site?

No. Our games are free to play and download by anyone. Registration is only required if you want to track your high scores, select an avatar, create a personalized profile or participate in Big Bomb Games community features. Guest passes are available for visitors who would like to post scores, but do not want to register for a full profile.

Guest passes? When did you begin allowing score posting without registering?

Due to feedback from some fans we created guest passes in mid-September. Guest passes allow visitors to post scores without having to go through the entire registration process. This allows younger guests to post scores without having to provide e-mail or contact information, however guest passes do not offer the ability to select avatars, personalize profiles or take advantage of other member benefits offered by Big Bomb Games.

What happened to my scores? Why do I only have a few scores now?

In an attempt to allow more members to see their name on our scoreboards, we have updated the scoreboards to only display your top 4 scores per game during any given rotating 31-day period. All scores posted make it to our scoreboard database, but only the top 4 for any member (or top 1 score for guest accounts) are displayed for each game.

When I play a downloaded game, why does it attempt to connect to the internet?

During play, all our games may periodically attempt to connect to bigbombgames.com. This connection is attempted solely to count the number of times our games our played. Absolutely no personal or identifying information is transmitted during this connection

Why do I have to include my e-mail address when registering?

During the member registration process, we request a valid e-mail address for a couple reasons. An e-mail verification system is used to confirm any changes to a member's main account information (username, password or e-mail.) If you ever modify or delete your profile, a confirmation request is sent to the e-mail address on record before the requested action occurs. This helps us ensure changes are not made to your main profile without your knowledge or permission. E-mail is also used to send members their login information if they forget their password or username.

I provided my e-mail address when I set up my profile. Is Big Bomb Games going to sell my information or send me unsolicited messages?

No. Big Bomb Games employs a strict opt-in policy to notify only those members who want to know about upcoming games or features on bigbombgames.com. When registering you will be given the option to recieve notifications from us and you can change these preferences at any time. Big Bomb Games will not sell your information to any other parties.

Occasionally if posting a score from a game sponsored by one of our partners, you may be asked if they specifically may contact you via e-mail. This option is separate from your notification preferences with Big Bomb Games and whenever this option is presented, the option will always be accompanied by a link to the specific partner's privacy policy.

How old do I have to be to start a Big Bomb Games profile?

Due to privacy concerns, member registration is limited to visitors over the age of 13.

Can I delete my profile/cancel my membership?

We'd hate to see you go, but if you want to cancel your membership at any time, simply click the Cancel Membership button located on your My Profile page. An automatic e-mail asking you to confirm the request will be sent to you within minutes. Please keep in mind, once you cancel your membership your profile cannot be restored. We consider member privacy to be a significant part of our culture and if any of our members decides to leave for any reason, we permanantly remove their profile from our system.

I accidentally deleted my profile. Can I get it back?

Unfortunately, no. In order to protect the privacy of our visitors, once any member decides to leave their profile is completely and permanantly deleted from our database.

Do you accept suggestions/requests for future game or features on bigbombgames.com?

Of course! We love to hear from our visitors and if you have any ideas how to make Big Bomb Games more enjoyable, please let us know.
